ViziWorld allows you to create maps and attach photos, graphics and text. There are two elements to your ViziWorld experience; Your Account and Your Personal Copy of the ViziWorld software.
Where does ViziWorld get the great maps? ViziWorld has partnered with Environmental Systems Research Incorporated (ESRI) to provide global map coverage. What are the system requirements for the ViziWorld software? At this time, the ViziWorld software is certified on Windows. Supported platforms include Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. In addition, we recommend that you have a high speed internet connection to make it faster to download maps and upload your personalized ViziMaps. Let us know if there is another platform that you would like to see supported! Why doesn't the screen show all the buttons? The ViziMap Creator does not fit on screens that have a display setting of 800x600 or less. You can change the display resolution by right-clicking on the desktop and choosing the Properties menu, then clicking on the Settings tabl and adjusting the screen resolution (i.e. 1024x768). Let us know if you would like the software to work with your resolution! You create maps by downloading our free ViziMap Creator software. In the ViziMap Creator, simply click the "New Map" button and follow the prompts to set your area of interest and map style. ViziMap Creator will connect to the global map database provided by ESRI and retrieve your map. How do I add photos to my map? You can add photos to your map by dragging one of our icons onto your map. When you drop the icon onto the map, the ViziMap Creator will open a photo chooser wizard that lets you pick one or more photos from your computer and attach them to your map. The photo chooser dialog also lets you add a title and description for each of the pictures. Your copy of the ViziMap Creator software allows you to save each of your ViziMaps. Simply add a name and description for your map and click the "Save" button. Your map will be sent to our servers for secure storage. How do I send my ViziMap to another person? When you save a ViziMap, the map is stored on our servers. ViziMaps can be sent via E-Mail to anyone with a valid email address. You can send you maps from your account or you can send them from your ViziMap Creator software. At the lower right of the ViziMap Creator software, there is an area that lists all of your saved maps and lets you send, save, edit and remove individual maps. Can I see what my ViziMap will look like in an E-Mail? Yes. Simply click the "Test" button on your ViziMap Creator. A sampleViziMap will be displayed in a pop-up window that shows how it will look when someone receives it in their email. Can I add one of my ViziMaps to antoher ViziMap? Yes. This is what we call our Map in MapTM capability. You can drag a map from your map library - My ViziMaps - in the lower right corner of your ViziMap Creator and drop it onto your current map. In this way one large ViziMap can be an index show many individual ViziMaps. |
